Carolina Hidalgo
Hi and welcome! I’m Carolina Hidalgo, a comedian, podcaster, producer, and sometimes “actor”.I’m Colombian/Peruvian but grew up in various places, mostly Mexico City until I came to America when I was 15 years old. I started stand up comedy in 2009 as a way to make my coworkers laugh at a downtown open mic place. Since then I've performed in every comedy club in NYC (and some in LA) and toured in a lot of places in between like El Paso and Toledo.In 2014 I started to focus more on podcasting and radio and started co-hosting and guesting on several shows on Sirius XM including My Wife Hates Me, Fugelsang’s Tell Me Everything, The Dean Obeidallah Show and more. I’ve also done a lot of podcasting since then. I’ve co-hosted, produced, and in most cases recorded and edited these gems: Movie Sign with the Mads with Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu from MST3K (2016-2020), Professional Friends (2018-2022) and No Dogs in Space (2020- ), which was placed on the Top Fifty New Podcasts of the Year by the Atlantic in 2020.It’s a lot of work but I love doing it, along with hanging out with my dog Georgie, scanning book stores for cool rare music books, and going to see local bands in the LA area where I now live.
